Cookies, local storage, and ad-platform tags.
1. Strictly necessary
A small localStorage flag (parpia_almanac_v1) records that you saw the cookie notice. The CDN may also set strictly-necessary security cookies to protect the site.
2. Functional (browser-local)
Your trip ledger and almanac-watch entries live in localStorage on your device. They never reach our servers.
3. Advertising & measurement (third-party)
Parpia Travel advertises through Microsoft Advertising (Bing) and may use Google Ads. To measure ad performance and to reach previous visitors (remarketing), these platforms set and read cookies and similar identifiers through their tags on our pages — including the Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag. This involves individual end-user tracking and data sharing with those advertising platforms for advertising / marketing purposes.
4. How to control / opt out
- Browser: block / clear cookies; enable Global Privacy Control (GPC) — Parpia Travel honors GPC as an opt-out of sharing / sale.
- Microsoft: account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings.
- Google: adssettings.google.com.
- Industry: NAI optout.networkadvertising.org; DAA optout.aboutads.info · youradchoices.com (EU: youronlinechoices.eu).
5. Outbound links
Partner sites use their own cookies once you click out via a /go/ link. Their policies govern that visit.
