Local guide

From the Pioneer Valley to the gate.

A practical guide to BDL and BOS from Springfield, Northampton, Amherst, and the rest of Western Massachusetts.

Bradley (BDL) — 25 minutes from downtown

I-91 South to exit 40 (CT-20 East). Long-term parking on Schoephoester Road runs about $11/day; economy lot shuttles every 10 minutes. The PVTA does not directly serve BDL; cab fare from Springfield runs $55–$70.

Logan (BOS) — two hours by car or bus

Peter Pan from Springfield Union Station to Logan runs five times daily; the trip is 2h 15m via the Mass Pike. Driving plus Logan central parking at $40/day is rarely cheaper.

Providence (PVD)

90 minutes on I-91 + I-90 + I-95. Worth checking only when Southwest has a clear Florida fare advantage.
